Enjoy it! Nothing more beautiful than a long open stretch of road and travelling solo!
[–]NovaPrimer[S] 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I love it, it is truly the only way to travel

Wow, that looks like a well-maintained road. The view is very nice, makes you want to be there.

New asphalt overlay most likely, brand new striping. Men at work to get that. Love it

Whilst driving, do you Americans ever start suddenly screaming and panicking because you think you're on the wrong side of the road and then remember you drive on the right?

Do you British ever realize that driving on the left side of the road is retarded and then go to the dentist?
Both questions same answer 😂
[–]Kolo112343 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
No offence but British dentistry is making people walk without teeth. People go abroad to have them fixed. When I 1st came to the UK I could not believe that there were so many people without teeth, even women.
[–]BuschMaster_J4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Wait you’re serious...? That’s gnarly
[–]Lord_Hatertroll3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Teeth are overrated nowadays anyway
[–]pat-eymsham2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
We drive on the left because we rode horses on the left so that out sword arms were on the right side to best protect us. Notice how we defeated the Spanish (right-hand-side), the French (right-hand-side), the Germans ..... you get the idea.

Imagine clutching with your left foot but changing gears with your right hand. Also calling liquid petroleum "gas". The yanks are a weird bunch bless them.
[–]Chakra_Devourer0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yup. But then without the yanks, all of Europe would probably be speaking german and salute the fuhrer.

Oh wow, that's some amazing scenery!
I, myself, am planning on doing a road trip over there sometime soon with a few friends (if this is Southern Utah like I think it is).

Looks like somewhere in the southwest. Love this part of the country. I did a 5 day "my own way" mountain biking road trip to Sedona last week.
[–]Dark_Shroud1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Did you bike to a location or drive there then bike around?
I've considered trying some cycling road trips myself. But in Northern Illinois its not the safest for multiple reasons.
First accessory for my Jeep's up coming hitch bumper will be a multi-unit bike rack.

Drove to town (~4.5 hr drive). Stayed in a reasonable hotel and drove to all the trailheads (~5-25 min from hotel). I’ve been mountain biking 25 years now, so Sedona is 1-2x/yr destination like Moab. Hitch receiver install was literally the first thing I did when I bought my daily driver. If you can afford it, buy a 1up USA bike tray system. It’s awesome. Made in dickeyville, wi. Saris is also good, still made in Madison, wi. I spend most of my frivolous expense on bikes and bike vacations.

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking of just getting a rack from Thule because I'm going to buy their rooftop crossbars for my Jeep Renegade.
Yeah my money goes to my Jeep, Tools, and Firearms.
Good timing because I'm working out a budget because I'm going to drop around $5k in upgrades for my Jeep so I can get the hell out of town whenever I want to wherever I want.
Eventually I'm going to buy a small overland style camper trailer with a hitch so I can mount my bike rack on that. Being able to easily take my bikes with me only makes it better.

Beautiful. Is that US-89 in Arizona? I miss that part of the country

Nice seeing a dashboard without the skanky feet for once.

Beautiful
I took a road trip across the Southern US back in 2015 during what ended up being a crazy heat wave. Still loved the trip, took part of a route my family traveled when I was a child.

Nothing like a peaceful afternoon trip on the open road. Shit get you feeling like anything could happen or nothing could happen AND WOULD STILL BE A GREAT DAY.
I gotta get back to travelling out of state work. Good times.
