I was thinking about this very fact the other day and it hit me- hypergamy doesn't just apply to men, it applies to every aspect of their life.

They are never content. They always want more and better. It's one of the things that drove me crazy in marriage, if you just do this for me I'll be happy. A week later, well that was nice but what I'd really like is this.

It is just how they're wired.

Shit the other day, I ordered the five, and they brought me the four. This is at a place I eat at weekly and they all know me and I always get the five.

Looked at it and thought "eh, I'm hungry, good enough, the four it is" and ate it.

BECAUSE IT TEN MINUTES ITS ALL A PILE OF MUSH IN MY STOMACH. ITS NOT WORTH FUCKIN' FUSSING OVER.

I rarely, almost never, send food back because the additional enjoyment of having that exactly right does not exceed the hassle and wait of getting it fixed.

I lol'd at the post, and imagined an order of spaghetti and meatballs w/garlic toast.

but she wants a mushroom in the center of the meatballs
but she wants the garlic toast toasted upside down, and must be round

but she wants the center of the spaghetti to be thoroughly cooked and the ends of the spaghetti to be al dente.

then, no tip b/c it took too long.

Probably all have self-imposed "diet restrictions" and had to try to out-do each other over who had the most "restricted" diet.

I had an ex like this. Everywhere we went to eat the food had to be changed just a little bit for her. "Cheeseburger, no cheese". "Salad but please put dressing on the side and add tuna". Every single fucking place. It got annoying real fast.

I usually have to substitute some part of restaurant meals because I'm diabetic. No bread, potatoes, or pasta for me....

This type of stuff is to be expected at high class restaurants.

High class restaurants are all about status. Slightly better food, service, and decor are not worth all the extra money. People arent paying $50+ per meal for those little perks.

What theyre paying for is the psychological high that they get from being there. Feeling "fancy", like they are high class, is why people go there.

With that, you can expect a lot of bullshit from both men and women (but especially women) on their power trip. Even if everything is great, theyll think of some way that they need to boss someone around, while on their imaginary throne.

This example is a stretch. Replacing an item on an order is fairly common. It’s annoying in this case since there were ten orders.
