My first real love was at 19. We were together for four years. She was a compulsive liar and a passive control freak. Her lies were her tool of control. I was just as young but much more naive. She was my first fuck and my first love.

We split four years on after a nasty disagreement and an abortion. The long of it is she lied to me again and this time it was life-changing. I gave her an ultimatum and she took it. She had the abortion but her family shoved her out of my life. They thought I was all wrong for her. Little did they know she was the toxin in our relationship.

Anyway I was still pretty young and gullible. I was 23 when we split. For about 3 years I fucked random girls to replace the reciprocity I got with her. It never did amount to anything but I would say it was a good 3 years before my mind was right again. I went full MGTOW in my late 20s.

I would say 28-29 after my last relationship fell apart. I realized then that who I am and who they are we're incompatible. Not only that but my views on Traditionalism became indifferent then I pitied it and then finally I became hostile to it.

Then I just began living my own life doing my own things. I'm in my 40s now and full MGTOW.

Keep your head up, brother. It took me three years to get the rage out regarding women. I couldn't stop with the truth. I started down the red pill truth about civilization/the state. SO many rabbit holes of truth (or what I believe the truth to be) leading to anger. Can't give you an expiration date.

If you chase the ultimate truth I'm not sure you ever recover.

Regarding women, the attraction is now an understood superficial one. I'm in my late 30s now so my experiences have accrued and my hormones have dulled. I'm able to think more rationally and observe female behavior more hawkishly and that kills my initial attraction very quickly. I no longer have a yearning to follow the group consensus. I like doing things alone or with a small group of friends.

I still respect my biological urges so I talk to like minded friends and visit these sites frequently.

Your hormones dull. The pain goes away, and you see life in a different perspective but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scarred or struggle to set a new purpose.

A difficult question with as many different answers as there are individual men.

It will only last as long as you continue to dwell on it, but you shouldn't suppress your feelings either. You've been hurt, let yourself hurt, but also realize that you were the one who let yourself be susceptible to that hurt. Nothing is fundamentally important, only what you think is important matters.

She fucked someone else, she'll fuck many others, it's going to happen but it's your choice to assign value to that fact. The great thing about being a man, personal responsibility. It costs dearly but is also liberating.

Of course this is easy to absorb logically but takes longer to internalize. In the meantime, channel that rage into something productive. It's an excellent motivator for physical exercise which you should consider if you haven't already, not only will you reclaim the masculinity that you feel has been taken from you but it will help you live better - and living well is the best revenge.

Until then, accept that you must now go into monk mode, and take care of yourself, and yourself alone, daily and nightly. And then embrace the abundance available to you for whatever you want to do. Well, now you get to focus just on you. Anything you do for yourself to improve yourself is a win in your favor. Lay back on the booze a bit. Lift and exercise a bit more. Focus just on taking care of you, the prize. A new, stronger you is coming.

It's different for everyone and depends on the length of the relationship. For me it took about a year. Accepting reality is so much better and more peaceful than fighting it and wishing it were different. This applies to anything in life. Be present in the moment, in your feelings, and eventually you'll laugh this off as a roadblock in your path to becoming a better man.

Anywhere from a few days to a few years in my experience. The exact path your mind takes will vary. It took me a few months to wrap my head around how evil my exgf is, but I jumped neck deep into trp and it made the process of getting over her go faster.

First, you have to understand that just because something FEELS & SEEMS to be "real" to you, does not mean you are not simply engaging in fantasy; much like a "dream" an feel very "real" your mind is more than capable of "deceiving itself" -- indeed, we do this on a regular basis, often quite purposefully and even consciously (though often even more so autonomically/subconsciously) -- that is we CHOOSE to believe certain things, because it PLEASES US to believe them.

And you are wrong, in that it most certainly DID "mean something" to her, something IMPORTANT.

Something VERY important to her: just also something entirely DIFFERENT than it meant to you.

To her, it meant she was going to be able to USE you (and your resources), to USE (and "abuse") your little puppy-dog like "crush" and self-delusional romantic-fantasy that you were "in love" with her...

In doing so, you more or less became like a marionette puppet offering up and handing over a set of puppet "control bars & string" (with little valentine hearts on them) saying "make me dance!"

So she did.

THAT doesn't really make her "evil" -- or at least not any more "evil" than any other woman -- it really just makes her an average/typical "female."

Keep in mind while she may have "played along" she didn't really MAKE you "fall in love with her" -- YOU performed all that "black magic" yourself.

You were the one who contrived (or at least accepted, bought into, and focused on fantasizes about) the whole "love is/was real" malarkey...

I'm gonna say that while I consider myself MGTOW I'm also TRP and enjoy women in my life. The first few hurt like hell, especially LTRs, but get with enough women and you'll start to see trends in their behavior, trends in your emotional states toward them, you start to see trends in relationships dynamics. This may take a year to a decade, depending on how much you put yourself out there, but I discovered a great deal about myself by chasing girls almost non-stop while my friends were/are content with the one-monogamous-girlfriend-at-a-time-till-she-fucked-shit-up thing. You know why rich, successful, good-looking athletes and professionals have really hot wives/girlfriends? Because they can afford them. Women are products, and we are consumers.

They're marketed to make you feel certain ways, while they obviously require regular maintenance. You stop providing that maintenance and they market themselves to another consumer who can afford them. That's how I think of women, and I chase em for sport like predator for prey. I've made this shift in mentality (away from how I was raised to think about women--to pedestalize them and treat them as the innocent, weaker sex) over the course of a couple of years after being sick of being broken up with because I turned into the nice guy beta.

One night I was out with some friends and I got pissed off at something in a bar and went to the one next door, where we bumped into a female relative and her female friends. One of them had the most iconic resting bitch face, and in my pissed off state I made a half-aggressive/half-teasing comment about it. She engaged me back, and we started trading insults. I meant what I said, and I thought she meant what she said as well. Next thing I know, we're outside and she offers me a cigarette. I accept. We keep going at each other while smoking together and then I realized this bitch is DTF. I fucked her later that night. That night, I realized catching the feels/oneitis is bullshit and I've gone for what I want ever since: sex. The moral? Fuck love man, love doesn't get anything done and it only clouds your reasoning. Accept it like the rest of us at TRP and start gaming women or stay on MGTOW if you want to turn your back on the pussy.

I never will get over the fact that things are the way they are. Forgive and move on. Someone else's actions have no power in my present or future, unless I give it to them. If you ever follow God and realize how much He actually loves you, women, men, kids, circumstances, nothing else matters. You can't be moved. Hardheartedness just opens the door for me to make similar mistakes. It's not okay.

Pain in life will happen. It's when you learn to see through the pain at what lies ahead, that's when things get done. Life changes and there's joy again.

swallowed the pill almost a year ago. i spin plates like crazy now. occasionally i'll have a girl who i consider for an LTR so i'll spend a little more time with her, lower the dread a little, increase her attention a little more. 3 times now, i've found out within a month of getting to that phase that her n-count is sky-fucking-high (so she's lost her ability to pair bond)... instant soft-next, and permanently fuck-zoned. that shit is rage inducing.

Learn to see things as they are.

We are essentially highly evolved animals. Animals like to have sex.

Relationships and marriage are cultural evolutions of our tribal nature. Our tribal nature can be further broken down into chemicals in our brain. One of the primary chemicals is oxytocin.

So the problem isn't that love isn't real. It is in a sense that it's a certain mix of chemicals in your brain that triggers your amygdala and various other cranial mechanisms to induce a chemical reaction that we describe as "love".

Once you've seen this, you won't look at women the same way again. It's almost a calm feeling as you see things for what they are without high or low emotions.

You simply exist and observe others existing.
