Nkechi Amare Diallo (born Rachel Anne Dolezal; November 12, 1977) is an American former civil rights activist known for being exposed as white while falsely claiming to be African American. Dolezal was president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) chapter in Spokane, Washington, from February 7, 2014 until June 15, 2015 when she resigned amid suspicion she had lied about nine alleged hate crimes against her. She received further public scrutiny when her white parents publicly stated that Dolezal was a white woman passing as black.
The statement by Dolezal's parents in June 2015 followed Dolezal's reports to police and local news media that she had been the victim of hate crimes; however, a subsequent police investigation did not support Dolezal's allegations.

How do you know she is white, or that her parents are white? I'm familiar with the story. My question is, in a court of law, how would you prove that one person is white, and another person is not white?
Is it based on skin color? Ok, exactly what shade of brown is the delineation, and do you have to avoid being in the sun for six months before being tested?
Is it based on parentage? Ok, how do you know if the parents are white? If you have one black person in the family tree is every descendant of them until the end of time black, or at some point is their contribution considered diluted out?
At one point in time there were actually laws regulating this stuff. Courts largely struck these laws down as being racist.
And this is the problem with trying to define race. The moment you try to do it, somebody will get upset because you'll never come up with a definition that fits everybody's personal interpretation, and somebody gets labeled with a race they don't want to be identified with.

The complaint is that she wasn't really black. I asked (mostly rhetorically) for somebody to define what it actually means to be black, in a rigorous manner.
My point is that it is impossible to define race, because people inter-breed and no SJW is going to want to actually draw a line in some rigorous fashion and say everybody on one side of it is in one race, and everybody on the other isn't.
Don't get me wrong - you certainly could propose an unambiguous definition. You'd just be crucified for actually doing so. Laws that used to do this were struck down by courts.
The hypocrisy here isn't a white SJW claiming to be black. The hypocrisy here is that SJWs want to just arbitrarily move the goalposts when it suits their purposes. Laws requiring businesses to hire black people are OK. Laws saying who is and isn't black aren't OK. When John Smith down the street claims to be black and demands to be hired, suddenly we have a problem...

Absolutely correct numerically there are way more whites on it because there are way more whites in America. But proportionally blacks got them beat hands down. For example, 42% of the black population in America participates in a means-tested welfare program. White folks participate in means-tested welfare programs at a rate of about 12%.
