There's no such thing as a unicorn. It doesn't exist. If you haven't done so, read "The Rational Male" by Rollo Tomassi. You'll get a nice glimpse of women's partner selection strategy. Get ready, it's quite a tough pill to swallow.

I don't know where you live but in the Western world, women initiate 80% of divorces and in the vast majority of the cases, they take the kids with them as well as your possessions. Oh, and as a bonus, get ready to pay your future ex-wife a ton of money to have the supreme honour of seeing your kids raised by the next guy.

The "purpose" of your life is the purpose you give it. If you find your life lacks purpose, it's up to you to do the work and define it. It takes time, work, soul searching and sweating out.

If you think getting married will magically give your life a purpose, you're wrong. In this day and age, men have way more to lose than to win in getting married.

My advice: work on yourself, finding what you like, your purpose. Acquire currency, develop yourself physically, mentally, spiritually, culturally, financially. Read a lot, walk, work out, meditate.

And if you really suffer from loneliness, get a dog.

You are told that she is "unicorn", in an age of Social Media . There is risk of your lifetime work getting ruined, you may be getting #metoo'ed. You do not know her true personality.
My advice is before getting married, get to know her for a long time. Because you do not know who she is. Maybe she is a really good liar so that you will only get to see her after marriage.
Your family found her,but how much did they got to know her? Do they know her from childhood or so?
It is your decision,but count what i said above so you don't ruin your life.

I find it easier to gmow when I have lots of options, not when I have none. I don't know what you think selecting yourself as the primary concern of your life means if you're only doing it when without an option. Wtf man? That is NOT gyow imo.

I am sure that you will receive many posts with categoric recommendation not to marry her. I am here to give some counter-arguments. You make your own way and will decide by yourself.

If you think that your life is clearly lacking sth. like wife and children, then you may give a try, but if she is (almost) unicorn then you do not know her yet.

You should get to know her also in trouble situations (go for a 10-days hiking to wilderness with her with minimal equipment and supplies) You'll get to know how she holds her emotions in complicated situations and how much is she ready to contribute to mutual wellbeing.
You should get to know how she treats lower-class subjects (waiters, incels, handicapped people, animals, insects) It is important to know what will happen when you fall ill in your marriage.
You should get to know her views on main values of life (how to spare and spend money, how to grow children, how to struggle the problems, how clean and neat your home should be etc.) If your and her views are different then you will certainly be unhappy in your relationship
You should get to know her genetic background (genetic diseases, psychiatric disorders in relatives etc.). Look at her mom and dad and grandparents. The traits you do not like in them may reveal again in your children.
You should consider from the very beginning that several kinds of problems will certainly occur in your marriage (problems with your children, temptations from you and your wife's side, misunderstandings etc). Can you take all of this?
You must be a first alphamale in her life (she must be a virgin and she should sincerely admire you)
Do not expect her to be your another mother or sex doll. She will devote herself to her children and you will be of last importance in your family. (You can easily accept this yet when her children are also yours)

If you have analyzed all the points then your marriage will be based on pure logic and you will miss the "true love" thing during your marriage -- but sometimes it may not be certainly a bad thing (you can find "true love" only in the fairy-tales). You must "train" your girl from the beginning and be an alpha male to her all the time (I am pure beta in other situations). If you have such an attitude then you are always ready to leave (and she also knows that). It is quite simple if you always reveal your wishes (if she does not like to fulfil them then she disappears and you dodged a bullet).

If you do not pay attention to these points then the first attraction will disappear sooner or later. You will be unhappy and miserable. It is more cost-effective and time-sparing to give a half of your belongings already today to someone who hates you (Do not waste your time!).

I am from former soviet union republic, married now 27 years and I have had "planned marriage" from my side. I first met her when she was 17 and I was 22 (we sang together in a hobby choir). We began our relationship 2 years later, she was neat and virgin and always eager to meet me (she was easy booty call for me). We married when I was 27. Before that I fell in love to several other women and therefore got somewhat red-pilled about feelings. I made a decision to marry her because I wanted a family and she was always kind to me (and therefore I did not want to hurt her feelings). We enjoy being together (we have rather similar perceptions on life and things). My wife does not interfere my hobbies and free time and friends. She is still kind to me (brings morning coffee to the bed, tries to surprise me with new foods etc.) We have 3 children who have made us much headaches and I am not sure whether I would marry and make a family today if I had a chance to begin again as a young man. Nowadays we can not educate our children as we want due to internet and schooling. This is a big drawback in teens but somehow they also find their way when they have grown up. But the worst are health problems - one of my sons is handycapped due to complicated delivery.

P.S. If you have made a decision to marry her then you should win her mother to your side. You may consider to give her (i.e. your mother-in-law) flowers on your wife's birthday and thank her for giving birth and raising up "such an incredible daughter".

Every man needs one or two really good, close male friends that they can talk with and hang out with, do stuff with, etc. IF you don't have anyone like that, you need to find a couple and develop that friendship. NOW. Before entering into a monopolizing relationship. You need men who will have your back, never pull punches when they give advice, and bust your balls with humor all the time. You NEED that.

You need to set boundaries with her. She needs to understand what the boundaries are and that you will not put up with bullshit. Enter into it slowly, carefully. You need time to really see the type of woman she is. And if your family disagrees with that - if they don't want you to have a year or two to assess if this woman would make a good life partner, then, you know it's a bad move. They'd rather see you married than happy and successful. ONLY YOU can make you happy. A woman cannot. A job cannot. Money cannot.

Life is about relationships. We can't take anything with us, but the people that we have in our lives, those relationships, will live on beyond our time on earth. I get the wanting of a woman, a home, a family, etc. Use the knowledge here, in this sub, to help set guideposts. Is everything here right, or all the best advice? No. But there's way more truth here than anywhere else. Use it.

Oh, and there are no unicorns. She's not a unicorn.

I don’t see the problem in trying. I'm into the whole manosphere thing because I gave it a try, to seewhat's going on the other side.

I can just give you some advice, rest is upto you.

Check her family, friends. What type of people they are.
Check her school, job, career. How good of a student she was, how good is she at her job whether it office or house work.
Intentionally be cheap with her. Test if she's gold digger
Previous bfs, n-count, feminism, sex-fat-drug positivity. Lgbtq+.
Her life goal, hobbies, make up amount, dressing style.
Moral value, religion, political view, philosophy.
Go with the mindset of divorce/breakup in 2/3 years. If things turn bad then run, will be easy divorce.
After that... its upto you.

OP don't get me wrong but probably you'll regret it. If you think your life is boring and just to add some spice to your life you're getting married. That's not the solution, you'll be bored in 5-6 months believe me. Find a greater purpose in your life. I've known people who were very excited to get married and lived a life like you describe before marriage and now after getting married they regret it. Explore yourself, your mind. Judging from your situation it seems like you're from the country I live in(India). Don't waste your life for a marriage, there's no returning back.

You will always have this hanging over your head...

She can leave when she wants. She can take your house. Your kids belong to her. You will pay her for the rest of her life if she gets a good lawyer.

All to maybe spend the rest of your life with a woman that will likely age poorly and maybe give your some kids that might not even be yours but even if they are, that will not appreciate you and all you do for them.

Seems like a shitty deal to me.

What you really need to think about is the following

Would you trust any person in the world with half your bank account, retirement accounts and future earnings. I have friends I would die for but would not trust them with my half my finances

Work from home is going to end soon. And believe me living with someone 24 7 hasn’t been easy as well. Wait for another couple of months and see how you feel about it
