There is a lot of bitterness against women here, so I could see why it comes across as a female hating group.
It is more men who have developed a realist view of dating and relationships. The odds of a successful marriage/relationship are low and the dangers/risks of our female leaning court system too high for it is to be worth risking. I'd say a big part of the group is a rejection of marriage more than anything because a failed marriage (and most marriages fail in one form or another) can destroy you financially.
Also historically and culturally men have been viewed as expendable and taught not to focus on their own wants/needs, but rather focus on the needs of others (society, women, families, etc). MGTOW is also a rejection of this ideology where men are encouraged to pursue their own goals instead.
It is also a rejection of the current dating climate, which has become too confusing, complex, high walled, full of dubious advice and double standards, etc. for many men to get more enjoyment out of it than they put into it. I recall one guy saying 'women keep dumping more and more demands on men, telling us we have to do more and more to keep them but they never ask what they need to do to keep us'. The system is too slanted, and many men feel like the costs/risks/effort is not worth the reward. Personally, I know it feels like the costs/dangers keep going up but the rewards have actually gone down compared to 10-20 years ago.

it's about men learning to channel their energy into themselves and their own lives for self improvement, instead of directing that energy towards pursuit of women, marriage, dating and sex. It's an energy direction and control philosophy simply stated, done for self improvement and development rather than outward towards relationships with women.

yeah but as you said, there are some understanding as to what a MGTOW is such as being a bachelor.
There is no such thing as a married MGTOW in spite of what that pussy whipped shitlord at AVFM (A voice for manginas) "Reverse Male" says.

Considering that: - I've been divorced. - Lost over a quarter million dollars in the process. - Lost custody to my kids. - Have to pay 1500$/month on CS & Alimony. ... because my wife "wasn't happy" and cheated on me.
Really, pardon me if yes, for a while I've been rather pissed of at women in general and the system that permits this financial rape. Luckily I've been working my ass off and have been able to recoup most of what I lost after 5 years.
But after the reaming I got, sorry but no, not for me. Not again.
I will see women, sleep women, hang around them for a while, but no marriage for me ever again.
Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.

Reggie Yates mostly just covered RooshV who has almost nothing to do with MGTOW.
The three main manosphere groups are pick-up artists / reddit's "theredpill" subreddit (RooshV), men's rights, and MGTOW.
PUAs basically say "BE A REAL MAN, BE AN ANIMAL, IMPROVE YOURSELF, FUCK BITCHES GET MONEY!"
MGTOW basically says "gender relations are fucked, being single is better for men these days".
Men's rights tries to highlight problems facing men.
ALL are anti-feminist, because mainstream feminist theory is that all gender issues are caused by men oppressing women / patriarchy, and helping women is the only way to make things better for men.
Women don't need to work as hard, because they know men will pay their bills? Well, that's because men oppress women, so the only way to close the wage gap is to fight sexism against women. It's bullshit. It's well known that lesbians go into higher paying jobs than straight women, because the know they won't get a man to support them. Gay men go into lower paying jobs than straight men, because they don't have to worry about supporting an extra mouth to feed. Who's actually being oppressed here?
Look at every issue feminists talk about - it's often actually the result of some kind of trade-off, not unilateral oppression. Feminists wouldn't agree - every part of traditional society is overall good for men, and bad for women.

This was deliberate. Reggie Yates doesn't have the balls to talk to actual MGTOWs, so he chose the most hateable rape apologist to say "look at the rapey manbaby" about.

What you should remember is that there is a very big difference between MGTOW and the MGTOW COMMUNITY.
MGTOW is a philosophy promoting the realization that a man's value comes from within rather than being validated by the government, other men, or women.
The MGTOW COMMUNITY is basically a support group where men can get together and encourage each other, educate each other, and vent. Yes, you'll see men lashing out in the community because due to the rise of feminism turning all men's spaces into women friendly spaces there are fewer places men feel safe to release anger and resentment.

I did hate females for a while. But then i realized all the suffering that i went through was just female nature etc. There is no ideology, no group, no leader. i follow both red pill/ mgtow. for me i dont see any reason to be in any relationship with a woman. risk/ benefit analysis does not work out to our favor, we get the short end of the stick. I never wanted to get married or wanted kids in the first place, not much point in even dating if you plan on being a bachelor for the rest of your life. edit: im guessing this is the first time you've come across this, but if you wanted to find more about this google will help you. its a lot bigger than you think it is.

If anyone wants to hate women, they are free to do so.
Women are not gods, there is no such thing as blasphemy against the vagina in spite of what society says.

I visit here because I find the relationship world to be pretty pointless and unfair, from my experiences with it. Have been single without dating for years now, before I even learned about MGTOW. Before that, I made a good-faith effort to find the right woman for me. I thought I had a lot to offer, but had very little success, in return for a lot of time and effort spent searching. I reached the conclusion that my lack of success was probably due to things that I couldn't do much about, like appearance. Things that we are all told aren't supposed to be the most important thing, and then you find out that it can seem to pretty much be the main thing that matters in attracting women. When you begin to realize that, seriously, why even bother with dating and relationships anymore? Plus, I had a bad breakup, and read about many guys' bad relationship experiences. That has pretty strongly reinforced my path to be single.
I do NOT hold bad feelings or blame toward women. I just think the way the relationship world works is pretty rotten.
In contrast, there ARE guys here who clearly are not fans of women as a group. I DON'T agree with them, but I figure there must be something that caused each of them to believe that way, like a really bad divorce. I think some of these guys believe that a divorce ruined a good share of their lifetime. I think that something like that can make someone so angry that they no longer care if what they say offends someone else. So, while I don't agree with them, it seems to be something that happens to some people through events in their lives.

It isn't an organization. It is a life choice that enough men have decided to pursue that it needed a label.
We are men who have opted out of a system that we see no benefit in being a part of.
Never ever believe how the media qualifies anything.
They would never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever show what MGTOW is really about - so they find PUAs and cretins like Roosh V and play us out as he man woman hater losers.

Hi, I’m quite new here, so my view of things are fresh. The main idea of the mgtow is in the name; men going their own way. That implies, that there isn’t any centralized authority or rules. To me, it is about valuing yourself, not relying on others for self-worth. Ofcorse, the community is on the internet, so there is a wide array of views when it comes to females; hate, no interests, fun to have around, keeping them at an distance etc. There seems to be a lot of content about women’s, because we like to theorize about what is going on in the society as a whole and ofcorse, why relationships aren’t such a desirable thing to have. You will find bad jokes and hateful content, so keep in mind, that it seems to be a part of every community. So far, I haven’t seen a political party, activist group or philosophical intrestgoup without any sort of differentiation outward. Maybe it is part of community building or something. To me, hate is just a bad way to communicate and is more about frustration then anything else.
To me, this has mainly been about why opting out from dating scene is worth it and understanding about the bigger picture.
