I am not sure, i am no expert and we don't see the whole chat, but i think it was mostly an humorous cocky funny way to say that she rather talk on the phone. I think optimal would have be to simply reply in a funny way too. "I was afraid you would be intimated of talking to a real men like me. I can give you a call if you can handle it ;)"

Here i feel like you kinda broke frame and i doubt it went well.
