Right. Also, dogs take up a lot less TIME, which is just as if not more important than money. Think about the difference in amount of time you have to spend with a child, as opposed to a dog. Kids suck up most of the time and energy in a house, in my experience. Not interested!

p.s. The dog average seems high. I'd guess it would be more like $500/yr, assuming your dog is healthy. The $15,000/yr for kids is a good estimate. That works out to $270K over 18 years.

i dunno bout this one. Always had bad experiences with dogs. Shit and piss everywhere the smell is terrible. Kids grow out of that phase and learn to take care of themselves... and they're just more fun in general imo. they dont need as much attention (only in the beginning)
