There is something in this graphic that represents a fundamental misunderstanding of due process. Carlos (if we are to take the justice system seriously) should never set out to prove his innocence. In fact, logically speaking, this is impossible. You can't prove a negative statement is true. Carlos can't, and should NEVER be required to, prove he didn't do something. The onus is on the accuser to prove the accused did what they are accused of. No exceptions.
