In some eastern (not western, imagine), they are proud to say that 90% of applications for jobs were given by men, while all jobs were finally handed women, hence leading to 60-70% of women in the company. And they are proud of it. The goal is to kick men out, literally.

I work for a large aeronautical company. They try for a 50/50 split gender apprenticeship every year. They only get a hand full of female applicants amongst 100’s of men. They eventually end up on the hard manual labour, which they struggle with and end up with an office job. Only the bigger manly women end up staying on the tools

I did some entrance exams for a stem school once. I did really well and was in the top 20% of the class. I wasn't selected, meanwhile they literally accepted every single women that simply showed up everyday. Some of whom I know for a fact had about half the marks I did and never programmed in their life and after hearing that they got accepted decided to decline the offer because "they aren't interested in computers". I had been programming for several years at that point...

You can't make this shit up. It's basically a free ride for women in stem, at least up until they have to actually produce something on their own without help and someones bottom line depends on it.

Reality check.

Feminists aren't the ones beating the drum for women in STEM.

Industry is the one fronting the $$$ for women's STEM groups in schools/colleges/universities.

The objective is to increase the STEM labor pool to drive down cost, aka wages.

Capitalism doesn't care about sexual dimorphism. STEM workers are a labor input, just like truck drivers.

Notice how there is no movement to increase the number of men teaching kindergarten (which is even more gender-imbalanced than engineering, btw)? No industrial interest there.
