If a person completed PWK and OSCP, would they be ready to apply for a job right away, or would they have to keep seeking an internship

Pen-testing seems to be an excellent career for a nomadic life since you don't really need to be onsite. Live someplace you want, move every couple years without worries of a job.

I got into security later in my career and with my CISSP I know more of oversight of security, but don't have the technical skills that most security analysts have.

The courses on the OFFENSIVE SECURITY website are not cheap. Is there an alternate way to learn PWK and OSCP that is not as pricey yet highly credible.
