Had an argument with a female friend over the word. She told me the rule is, you don't call girls that. I asked why, and she said something about oppression. I am confused.

My friend and I curse alot., yet I am not allowed to call her the word and she is allowed to call me that?
This is how I look at it: it is a curse word. You don't call anyone that. Period.
Newsflash: men gets called the word alot.
Yet I also don't want to be stuck on a word, because there is so much more to life. I am confused.

What is this exclusivity women feel with the word? And how do you guys deal with it?
