Letting women decided what arbitrarily makes a man a man outside of having male sex organs.
Declaring other MGTOWs non-MGTOWs because of one MGTOWs view on who can and cannot qualify the so-called qualities of a stereotypical alpha/beta/omega male. Ex. men who are short, ugly, small-dick can't be MGTOW because they have no choice. (personally, as long as a MGTOW recognizes the rigged game and doesn't pander to it and does his own thing, I'd say hes a mgtow whether he knows it or not. Whatever his appearance is shouldn't mean shit.
Arguing that going your own way are for quitters/cowards. Is someone who doesn't pursue a high paying career such as a doctor a failure?

Thinking of MGTOW as some sort of "movement".
Thinking of MGTOW as a "group" rather than a subjective philosophy that is rather personal and non-transferrable.
Critizise or gatekeep other MGTOWs who do not comply with his whatever "own way" of GYOW, ignoring that as a Mgtow you don't have to agree with what another Mgtow thinks or does.
Use the "label" of Mgtow or their own fucked up perception to confront or provoke other individuals or groups.
Assuming that being Mgtow implies "not having sex", not having money or not having a life.
Thinking that Mgtow is about preaching red pills 24/7, wearing Mgtow T-shirts or using secret sign language like an army of nerd retards.
Thinking that Mgtow is a last resort or a "men strike" that will make wymen "good" again, or worse, that when they become "mgtow" they will get more pussy.
Not being chilled and laid back, and giving fucks for every stupid nonsense in the world.

Agreed that GWTW is not a "MGTOW" film... (doesn't show any man actually "going his own way" -- because even Rhett's final "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn!" statement is no indicator that he won't get suckered by some other woman again in the future).

There's a lot of misconception that you're trying to tell people what to do. I think these are just bullet points on how to stray away from blue pill psychological tricks and to respect one anothers path in this sub.

But they never teach you to be cautious of batshit crazy women or gold diggers. They're simply women porn. They are obviously not true and is an ideology a lot of simps adopt thus leading to men marrying single moms from hell. Music brain washes people too. Have you noticed how they only play positive music on pop stations anymore? The psychology behind this is to ensure society is always influenced by positive music producing short pulses of dopamine in the public's brains psychologically tricking people into being more happy through out their day. Nothing wrong with this but it is nice to understand you're being influenced happy or sad. Consumerism is the worst weapon of them all. Sex sells. Pedestaling pussy is their market. Chad's and Chadlets are only ever used in ads. You look at these ads through a blue pill filter and subconsciously think, "man, if only my underwear said Calvin Klein in the waist band I could get more pussy." Do women really care what is written on your underwear's waist band? Of course not and if they did you got yourself a gold digger. I would encourage every man here to learn even the prime basics of psychology. Just understanding alone nature vs nurture and how what biological body was given to you vs the environment you were exposed to growing up has produced what you are right now could change your lives direction. I know it's helped me a lot and now I feel like I'm truly myself and take interest in what I like and not what has been spoon fed me into becoming.

The original poster is correct. But a lot of this is a process of growing pains.

The thing is, as this subreddit grows, there will be more trolls, more people who think wrongly that this is just a version of PUA or TRP, and the occasional stormfront type who thinks he can farm cannon fodder from here. There will be the ones hoping that MGTOW men will be recruited into tradconism.

All of these outside types do not understand the concept. MGTOW men need to stay focused on their ideas. And occasion, the mods will need to kick some trolls out of here.

I don't think that MGTOW should control what entertainment one watches or listens to...but it's all just entertainment, not something to guide one's life. For example, I like a lot of pop songs, but most of those songs are the furthest thing from MGTOW. But that doesn't mean that I'm going to start dating just because I enjoy some song.
