You won't have heard of this because of gynocentrism (men reporting problems are largely ignored in medicine) and because men more commonly suffer in silence after botched medical procedures instead of complaining. Don't expect to be informed of the facts from your doctor, because they are incentivized against disclosure. So instead, take it from a peer-reviewed respected medical journal. Of the 30% that present with symptoms, a proportion suffer permanent chronic pain. The actual number of permanent sufferers differs by which source you cite, but 1-5% seems a fair estimate range from what I've read.

Incidentally, a medical procedure is considered high risk if 1 in 100 patients experience serious complications. So by definition this is a high risk procedure, even though it's falsely claimed to not be (with no evidence to back it up, of course).

You haven't heard about this because it's often done in servitude of women no longer having to take the pill for a few more years until menopause. So we couldn't have any negative information inconveniencing women and reducing doctor's income.

I'm not suggesting you don't do it. But you are an adult and should be told the true risks as best understood by science. The medical community are both greedy and simps, so you need to be careful taking their word at face value when your health lies between them and money or gynocentrism.

I really considered doing a vasectomy, as I don't want to have any kids in my life.

But considering, that there is such a high chance of permanent pain, I will take a better path: no sex.

Wrote a post on it back in a day, you can check it out. Don't forget to wait at least 68-90 days after so that all the boys are cleared out from the ducts and vesicles. In that time it's highly recommended to masturbate regularly to speed up the process. And do the test after 90 days and 180. It's better to be sure than to regret it later.

Definitely recommend it. Still. You should consider freezing some sperm, just in case. You never know. Think of it as a form of insurance for the next 5-10 years. Or simply skip the shit and be the last in line. It's a great motivation to get the most out of life. Whatever you choose, on balance it's worth it. No baby traps, no games. Feeling is amazing, because you take away most of the power women have over men. At least in the legal system. Only false accusations stay an issue, but about that it's enough move to country with less cucked system where such allegations are punishable.

Do it. If you worried about changing your mind about more kids down the road you can always make a deposit into sperm bank for future use.

I did it at 29 and dont regret it for a second.
