Bronze age myths that lead to barbaric cultural practices, has no place in a 1st world country.

Ironic, though, that so many people from countries destroyed by these cultural practices are so eager to emigrate to the first world - bringing that culture with them instead of stopping to analyze why everything went wrong in the first place.

You have to give appropriate credit, few cultures last as long as Islam has. That proves something.

Other than that- I’m nowhere near educated enough on the subject to draft a more sophisticated opinion.

I’m curious, what do you think is misleading so many into radical views- if the prophet so clearly leads one to a life of moderation.

As an ex muslim, I have to concede that Islam holds the pillars of the healthy male-female dynamic at a preferable standard. Perhaps religion evolved as a mechanism for the continuation of the species. The only reason why humans disregard religion in itself is because they understand that the belief system is manmade. There is no message from a divine entity if you research things properly. I want to stress this with an open mind.

Ex Muslim here. All religions stress the importance of female virtue. Even confusionism which is more a way of life stresses that the husband should be the rightful head of the family. Men care for women just as women care for children. Islam is not new or special. Christian women for a while were told to dress very modestly. Modern times changed that. If the west did follow christiaity very strictly. You would find no sex before marriage. Modest dressing etc.
