He should have made the woman wade the water and carry the baby himself. She can easily walk in that water and the priority is to ensure the safety of the baby who is incapable of saving itself. The man is the most able bodied individual and should be the one entrusted with the life of the baby. The woman looks frail and might tire as to drop the baby in her present state.

To me, this picture is one really important thing that this subreddit is about. There are just certain physical differences between men and women, and we've never complained about the burden of being men, and being expected to perform actions like these. Many of us even enjoy putting our superior strength to work for the vulnerable.

Now there is this irrational race towards "equality" when the two genders are literally not equal in many ways. That's not some smug assessment from the mouth of male privilege. That's an undeniable fact. The irrational equality movement would have you believe that a woman would be just as capable of carrying a frightened mother and her child through a flood, and that's just a patently foolish argument to make, but I am a huge misogynistic asshole for pointing this all out.

Well we're still here, and we'll still do our duty, regardless of the fantasy world feminists live in. If they want to be left behind in a flood with a bunch of equally skinny-armed beta males who think the same way, that's on them. No matter how much they gnash their teeth and scream about their irrational desire for impossible equality, real-world situations like this will prove them wrong time and again.

The very last thing we should do is whine about it. Just strap on your boots, do your duty, and ignore the nonsense coming out of the mouths of the misguided and confused. We don't need them, and they absolutely need us.

I have back problems so I could never do that without three weeks after of walking like a 90 year old man. The news would tell me to "man up" for not being a hero like they did after the Aurora theater shooting since some guys died getting in the way of bullets to protect their girlfriends. They were actually shaming guys for not dying for their women.
