I cannot. I have a short temper and have to call out any little slight people throw at me. I know what women are like including family so I "spray up the block" at any transgression.

My father is the complete opposite dead silence. I view it as weak for not sticking up for himself but people still respect him. I snap at anyone I deem disrespectful and it's seen as weakness.

I still can't wrap my head around it. I don't understand how letting someone away with even the smallest little smart comment is strong.

Maybe someone can enlighten me.
