So I'm studying in uni, my native language is such that has clear distinctions between male and female in every word, for example the word "you" when spoken to a man is different than when speaking to a woman. Also, when you talk to a group consisting of men and women, the default way is to address everyone in male form- when its a group of females only - you address with a female version. This is the correct way to speak, and has been the same for at least 4000 years.

Now in my university they write the tests addressing the reader using the female pronouns only, disregarding the fact that this is wrong. Also when addressing the class, the professor talks to the class as if its only females ( its a 60/40 for females but its still wrong).

What the hell is going on...
