Has anyone read “The better angels of our nature”? This reminds me of the “leviathan” concept that book talks about. Throughout history, civilization’s have found less and less personal authority figures and systems. These authority systems will keep evolving until we find a completely impartial system of not only laws and rules, but enforcement methods as well.

It’s something that makes me think of “I Robot” and how the greatest “Leviathan” would be an impartial, unbiased AI with robotic enforcement. I’m always a little sad at the end when Vicki doesn’t win.

Authority systems break down when they’re perceived to be unfair or biased toward one group or another, or when people can expose blatant corruption.

There’s certainly a lot of room for improvement left in the system.

Personally, I still don’t think women and minority’s have the level of favoritism and protection that the rich, and corporations, have in America. To me, that is still the greatest disparity, those that own the system(s) and the rest who are merely part of those systems.

Women rely on the strength of men in order to feel powerful.

A woman will hit you, she relies on your strength to take it and not strike her back.

She’ll even say things like “ oh want to hit me? What a big man!!”

If you do defend yourself she will summon the strength of other men, ie the police to use their force against you. All the while they feel this is all their strength.
