You either love someone or you don't. Having to use a 'marriage' label, spending cash on jewelry, and then engaging in some stupid dress-up princess fantasy party that costs $30K has to be one of the most conceited, wasteful, and pointless activities I can imagine. And yet people routinely engage is this insanity because, well, everyone else is doing it, and hey at least I can be the center of attention for a few hours in my Halloween costume. And when all the BS is over, they're just the same people, feeling the same way about each other, and doing exactly the same things they were before. Nothing was changed or reaffirmed. Cash was wasted for conceit and a label rooted in religious superstition.
