I hate to say it, but in my experience, you don't want the apology. She's going to go nuclear and see that you're punished quite severely if she apologizes to you. If she screws you over, she's usually pretty satisfied and will just leave you alone. Sort of like a cougar leaving a wounded antelope.

Dont know, I think some do however its almost always linked with that she cannot to afford you to be mad at her or lose you. Instead of true humility it is usually a behavior which she hoped is followed by the desired effect, namely you forgiving her and she being able to control you again. Then again I cannot really look in anyones mind so I'd be doubtfull wether or not this happens.
