It sounds like a four year college degree was not for you OP. Also it sounds like you have no idea how cheap cost of living is outside of metropolitan areas. Recommend something like IT or CAD or wind turbine tech for example, that you can qualify for with no more than a two year community college certificate.

Of course you can get into truck driving or the trades sooner, but few working class salaries pay enough for you to save for retirement. That's the main thing.

take care of your health and fitness
store some cash (a lot of what you make) in dividend earning investments
retire as young as you can, somewhere cheap out in the flyover states

You presumably went to college to learn some marketable skill. Why wouldn't you work in that field?

I recommend finding a mentor in something you’re interested in and learn from them. Also network as much as you can and continue to push past your comfort zone. Finally, READ! All the most successful people do it, so you should too.

I worked shitty low-paying call centre jobs and eventually applied and currently work as a 911 operator making about $65000 a year.

Originally I dropped out of university but went back to community college for a two year diploma.
