For years I have challenged my friends and acquaintances when they repeat the hackneyed line that "women dress up to impress other women." That's so clearly untrue - they don't doll up when they go to leave off the kids or pick them up after school. They don't doll themselves up to go to AA meetings. They don't doll themselves up for their women's book club meeting. They don't doll themselves up for ladies' crafting night.

It's a lie that men like to tell themselves and thinking about it clearly is off limits for many (most?) men. I think it's easier for them to get through the day and not face the truth. They never take my challenge well, instinctively resisting it.

Women turn it up a notch (or two, or three, or more) when there are males around, especially males they want to impress. I concede that broadly speaking they do it for women, too, but that's an incomplete answer. I would grade it as a "D." They want to impress desirable men to display and/or exert dominance over the other females. But the "A" answer is that they're doing it to impress males.

I really can't stand it when adult men repeat this line like they're announcing the wisdom of the ages. It's so patently wrong. It's one thing when a 17 year old kid says it (he is just repeating something he saw on tv or read from a Bazooka Joe comic strip). But a 25, 35, 45+ year old guy that says this has just turned his brain off. It's a protective mechanism, I think.

lol. on the other hand, men need to stop wifing up bitches who still want to be party girls. The red flags are always visible. Ask her how much she parties. If she parties weekly, she is not girlfriend material. I used to go out all the time (clubs / bars) and i'll tell any dude, if your girl goes out often (even 1x a week) ... she cheating. no if, ands, or buts about it.

I've fucked more married women and women in relationships during girls nights outs than i've fucked single women.
