LOL. At least you got a message that you were banned. I didn't know I was banned until I tried posting there and just kept getting the useful message "Something went wrong". Contacted the admins and, eventually, found out that I had been banned for participating in The_Donald since they consider it a "hate reddit". At that time, I don't think I had posted there for over a year, but couldn't swear by it. Suffice it to say, it certainly wasn't one of my mainstays. The mod said he would lift the ban if I promised not to post there anymore. I just LOLed and told him I'll post where I want and if some subs don't like it, oh well.

Not only can you vent about anything, but people are free to disagree about things, even with the mods. The only ban-able offenses are things like personal attacks or doxing, which are also against the main reddit rules afaik.
