The problem with crypto, is its not backed by anything, $$$ are backed by gold, stocks are backed by the corporations themselves. Crypto is backed by the thought that it might be worth more than imaginary 1s and 0s in an algorithm someday. Most of my friends have sold what little crypto they had left after they became homeless.

I would put 70% to 80% of your DCA dollar allocation to Bitcoin. The other 20% to 30% should be allocated to 1 or 2 moonshot project that you think could outperform Bitcoin.

I know that most people hate this opinion. Cryptocurrency is not an investment. Can you make money with it? Sure ofc you can. But fundamentally it was designed to be an alternative money, to cut out the banks. Some DD. There is only a set amount of BTC. Hashing difficulty will skyrocket at one point. So it's finite. As it gets more and more adoption, price will raise as demand goes up. I can't say much about other altcoins as I don't know and or understand them

Litecoin is a better bet these days than Bitcoin. It's a top 10 (even a top 5 sometimes) coin from over 8,000 coins now and is based on the same "tech". However, it has so much more room to grow. Also, it's every bit as decentralized so the authorities can't touch it either. If you want to own a good amount of "whole coins" and be your own bank for it, then Litecoin is the way. Not financial advice; just opinion, by the way. Do what you think is right.
