I don't chase it, but I will go if it falls in my lap. Just coffee at Starbucks though, so at least financially I'm only out of pocket 10 bucks.

Same, I signed up for bumble and had around 10 matches after a few days. I was bored by the lame chats or one word replies. Some 6/10 chick opened with, "name 3 things you would bring on a deserted island!" and followed it up with 2 additional questions like that.

I thought about these conversations and how often I had begun checking my phone since downloading the app... realized i need to get my shit straightened out with certain personal life matters and business goals I had been slacking on. Deleted the app after a few days.

So much time and energy spent on frivolous, superficial connections. Time that I let myself fall behind on my goals, compounded by the business issues I had been avoiding.

Its been a few weeks and though im still muddling through these work challenges, I am enjoying the solitude and the rhythm of getting shit done each day. Perhaps I will dip my toe in the field in time, but right now I have much more pressing matters than validating my ego by hooking up with or dating girls. Sunk cost fallacy or whatever.

I think you need to rethink dates.

Do something that you want to do and she pays for herself.

Want to go for bbq? Want to go golfing? Want to go out on your boat? Bring her. She pays her way. That way, you haven't wasted time. You are doing something that you want to do and she happens to be there. Ha.

Yeah, I've lost interest in dating. After my divorce 15 years ago, I dated furiously. I went on dates every week. Went through probably a dozen women, many one-date wonders, some one-night stands, and a few short-term relationships.

After about 18 months of that, in the middle of a relationship that was sexually satisfying, I called it quits. I wanted my time back. I was tired of spending my Fridays and Saturdays doing this. I wanted to spend more time on my own. I wanted my leisure time back. I enjoyed my time alone and with my dog more than I did with women.

Although all of the women were decent people with some good qualities, I wasn't on the same page with any of them in terms of lifestyle, philosophy, or interests. I don't care enough about sex to continue a relationship just for that; I need it to be deeper than that, and I wasn't finding that. I don't mean to sound cruel or arrogant, but most of the women I met weren't interpersonally skilled, had some pretty significant emotional issues, and didn't seem to have much going on upstairs. It felt shallow to me.

That was 13 years ago. I haven't dated since then, except for once, and that was a mistake. I would periodically join dating sites, search for a while, and within two weeks, lose all interest. I couldn't find anyone who even seemed worth the effort. And my motivation just isn't there anymore. I went through that cycle probably a dozen times over the past decade, and it always turned out the same: initial interest, followed by complete loss of interest within two weeks.

So yeah, I feel you. I'm in the same boat. No interest in dating.

I would never go with a girl on a dinner-date, just a cup of coffee. It's not that expensive and I can leave whenever I want.

I love going on dates.

I just do it a bit differently. Last time i went on one was before COVID, but I would book an hour with one of my favorite korean whores in mid-wilshire. Just getting that out of the way so i can enjoy the rest of the evening relaxed and happy.

I pick a nice restaurant (looking at you Mastro's). I uber there, i have an amazing dinner with apps, wine, salad, wine, dinner, wine, and dessert. Then i go to the Pantages for a show. Grab a coffee first though. Orchestra center front seats season pass of course.. They did awesome with Phantom of the Opera on opening night. Les Mis was lackluster.

Then it's back to westwood in an uber. Nice cocktail to close out the evening at my favorite local watering hole in the village, walk a block back to the apartment, and then a toke on the balcony before bed.

I hop on the phone, transfer whatever the cost of the dinner, show, drinks, and transporation was, and then i deposit that amount into my dividend stocks. So the money i would have had to spend on dragging a woman along, for her to be "tired' at the end of the evening, goes straight to making me 9%.

That is how I date.

Do NOT pay for dinner for any stranger woman you don’t know. One third of women go on dates for free food (i know such scums). Deny them all resources till intimacy develops.

My last date was in high school over 12 years ago, never had enough time to bother with in Uni and found divorce statistics and mgtow shortly thereafter.

Too many landmines trying to date now and I’d be too lazy to put in an actual effort when I could just fap for 5 mins and forget about it.

You know what is fun to do. Get dressed up, a tie and the whole nine yards. Then go eat at a fancy restaurant all by yourself but tell the hostess someone else may show up. Watch all the women staring at you. Smile at them occasionally while you eat your prime rib. If they are obvious raise your wine glass and wink at them.
