Note that those "authors" are ALWAYS super heavy on any negatives that we might have but will NEVER address the reasons why we're MGTOW. Wonder why...

The paper's very interesting. It talks about the "official" MGTOW website, which is obviously mgtow.com. While it mentions Reddit and Twitter MGTOW sites, the results seem to be based on mgtow.com. According to the conclusion section:

While this study has yielded insights into the nature of MGTOW group dynamics and the central topics of conversation on the relatively closed MGTOW forum, it is limited by its focus on one site.

I haven't looked at mgtow.com in a long time, so it may be an accurate reflection of the content found there.

I am just flabbergasted by the usage of "normalize sexist attitudes."

They accuse MGTOW of that when the same normalizing of sexist attitudes has been their A game all along. Feminism directly and openly works on normalizing misandric sexism and stereotypes.

We are not organized
There is no structure
We do not recruit because there is nothing to recruit to.

From the article: "MGTOW has largely flown under the public and scholarly radar, even as the group has grown very rapidly in size." Yeah? No shit! Maybe the fact that we do not advertise or proselytize has something to do with it; or the fact that the vast majority of MGTOW don't even know that "MGTOW" is a thing and thus live their lives without knowing the moniker.

This article is saying that we are dangerous because we are "normalizing" a common sense attitude towards the world in where we vouch for our own best interests by taking ownership of our own lives and not believing in sacrificing ourselves for the benefit of others while receiving nothing in return.

They are painting us under a political light which is antithetical to the spirit of this movement. The authors of the article are bent on categorizing MGTOW under an ideological brand despite the fact that they claim to have examined MGTOW sources and websites which clearly state that MGTOW is in no way some type of ideology. MGTOW is mostly defined by what it is not. We are not a community, we are not an ideology, club, cult, or organization of any kind. They completely and utterly fail to comprehend this despite their claim to have done a deep dive unto this subject. One can only draw one rational conclusion out of all of this and that is that this article is just plain bullshit.

Of all places where MGTOWs chit chat they appear to have done the majority of their research on Twitter which as we all know is a bullshit platform where no one should ever be taken seriously including the very president of the United States himself! For fuck's sake!

They do seem to be unnervingly aware, however, of the fact that MGTOW platforms in reddit have received a substantial amount of "digital refugees" from Alt-Right, Incels, and MRA groups who had their own subreddits shut down a few months ago. Thus they are aware that a lot of what is being said in MGTOW forums do not actually represent the MGTOW mindset, spirit, or direction.

One thing they get dead wrong is their assumption that in the manosphere we all share in common this asinine belief in a "gynocentric order." I don't think I need to tell my fellow MGTOW why this is such bullshit because the existence of Gynocentrism does not infer the existence of a 'Gynocentric Order' - whatever the hell that means. We borrowed the concept of Gynocetrism from the post-colonial literary concept of Eurocentrism and applied it to the demonstable actions of the Feminist world view in which women are systematically favored over men not just in laws but also in the culture, in attitudes, in the media, in medicine, taxes, and benefits.

Gynocentrism is more that just a system (Legal) that favors women at the expense of men, it is the belief (Cultural) that women somehow deserve better treatment over men - and they justify this belief not by building women up as a meritorious class of good people who deserve it but rather by tearing men down as a villainous race of sub-human animals who have the instinct to rape, pillage, and plunder the perpetually innocent womenfolk. In a nutshell, gynocentrism is the world view where "Women Good; Men Bad" and men must all pay and women all deserve to be paid. MGTOW is simply in the same spirit of anti-Feminist attitudes toward gynocentrism that anti-colonialists had toward Eurocentrism. MGTOW is freedom of conscience - the freedom to be masculine, to think, act, and feel like a man. We are also in full retaliation - via separation - against the anti-masculine underpinnings of feminism that pose an existential threat against men.

The majority here are simply fed up with women and rather than mope and complain about it we are simply packing our things, taking ownership and responsibility for our own lives, and moving on to greener psychological and cultural pastures where we can live without the toxicity of women. Perhaps this is why these researchers have such a hard time comprehending what MGTOW is. It is an Enlightenment, a mass awakening. It is a movement without leaders devoid of any unifying ideology. The only thing that we have in common is that we are all moving away from the same thing: women. But the directions in which we are going is literally up to each and every individual man. In this respect MGTOW is like the mythological hydra. One Body but with millions of heads all looking at every possible direction from Celibacy to FWB relations.

In the end, this bullshit article is literally trying to sell the idea that leaving women alone is a form of assault on women, a hatred of women, and somehow a dangerous thing for which we should all be censured. And they wonder why we go our own way.
