While I really appreciate the tenets of MGTOW, I think every individual is too unique to fit a set of constraints or philosophies i.e. I am enjoying being alone as a 32 year old male, but would love to be in a relationship (not marry) with a woman I can enjoy life with. Would love a woman who is into the same kind of music, movies and other activities like me. But the best part about having a 'mgtow base' is you don't really care if you don't get this mythical person. If she comes along, great, she will contribute greatly to my life. But in the meanwhile, I will keep enjoying solo, adopt a dog soon, keep indulging in my hobbies and spoil myself :). I love this community and some of the quotes here have stuck with me. My personal favs are :

  • Remember for married people or LTR, love is an obligation. For a free man, love is a choice.
  • If nobody really cares about you, that is a positive, not a negative. This means you can do whatever you want, wherever you want without needing anyone's permission or being answerable to anyone
  • I think going home to an empty house is exactly what I want. I want solitude.
  • If you can't find some joy internally, it's very difficult to replace that with external gratification. There's a lot of truth to the statement that you need to be happy on your own before you can be happy with anyone else.
