Hey guys, I've been trying to go MGTOW for a while now, but for almost my entire life I have been placing my self-worth in getting attention from a woman (be it my mom while I was growing up, the one i dated for three years, or the couple after her I hooked up with a couple times), and I'm having trouble finding places to get advice about how to approach MGTOW. I know about the philosophy of self-improvement, but I haven't really known anything besides competing for attention and affection from women. I guess I just need some sources of MGTOW content that will help me get a baseline understanding for how to begin building my own expectations for myself.

Sidenote: my parents' relationship is essentially my dad doing whatever my mom says without argument, so I grew up with the understanding that that is a man's purpose - to serve and protect a woman. However, since I've been at university, I can't really articulate just what I get out of relationships with women and why/how those relationships are worthwhile outside sex or seeking external approval (and especially since they can be so bad with divorce as a huge risk). So because I grew up only knowing "servitude" as a man's purpose, I don't have a baseline for how to create and execute my own expectations for a satisfactory life. Any thoughts that could help me out?
