You're only borderline. Diet, sleep, and vigorous exercise can easily bring you into mid- or al range.

Hit the weights hard. Heavy squats especially are effective.

Edit: If you've never lifted weights, or have done any other vigorous sports like track or martial arts, the don't jump all in one day 1 and destroy yourself. Start slow.

Started at 45 and no regrets. I lifted weights, ate well, did bjj and banged a lot of hot women (pua phase post-divorce). Still was tired and had joint pain. Got tested multiple times but mine was really low and getting on it made a world of difference. I've went through several doctors since until settling on a specialist that does remote consultations. However, echoing others below....if you aren't hitting the weights, eating VERY well and doing interesting (outdoor) activities I'd go for that first. Don't do drugs until you've tried the natural way especially if you are under 35.

I’d try lifting weights and changing my diet first. But I know guys who are happy/healthy on the TRT train.

I've been thinking about getting this too. I don't care if my T levels are low or not. I want to elevate my gains to the next level. Doctor shop until I find someone willing to write that prescription maybe.

I’ve been on it a year and a half now (42 yo) it definitely shows but I have a good diet and hit the gym 3-4 times a week… I am playing my best golf now too lol

Ask your doc about trying clomiphene first. It will attempt to boost your own natural T production by getting your pituitary to put out more of the T stimulating "signal" to your nuts. It worked for me, taking my T from high 200s to 900+. Made a world of difference.

Been on self administered trt for 10 years straight (39years old). Been doing 500mg a week, yes it's kinda high....though never had any problems so far. Bloodwork is fine too. Your body adjusts to the dosage, so 500mg nowadays is not like 500mg back in the days. Keeps me in a good physique year round, high energy levels as well. Feel like a teenager. If you're prone to balding, you will lose your hair faster than normal though. Something to think about.

Just exercise and take vitamin D. You don't need to take replacements.
