Time for vanlife??

I'm doing carlife while i save for vanlife.

I can only imagine that living in a van would be paradise, my car fits everything necessary like a fridge, bed, solar system and storage. I keep some fishing gear and nootropics but otherwise that's all.

So yes again, if i can live quite well in a car then a van (specifically a sprinter van+) would be ideal. I work 20hrs a week at 2 jobs and wish i did this sooner.

So I am in my early 40s and on track to retire at 50. My plan is to buy an RV and travel the states on a low budget until I can withdraw from my retirement accounts. Between 50 and 59 1/2 I will allow my accounts to continue compounding and growing interest. I'm also working with my accountant so that I will be so poor in the eyes of the government that I will qualify for Medicaid which will cover my Healthcare. Look into this. Going for a Winnebego Travato and fitting it with a wireless Hotspot and office.

And it's awesome. You'll absolutely want to check out Bob Well's CheapRVLiving channel on youtube. He has hundreds of videos concerning *real world* vanlife, as opposed to what you see on instagram. I started watching it months before buying my RV and it really helped, in terms of what sort is best for your lifestyle and mobility, where you can put it, and daily living.

It's not for everybody, that much is true, but for a MGTOW Minimalist, it's honestly a dream come true (at least for me). I live out in nature, my neighbors in the RV park mostly keep to themselves (there's a little drama here and there, but lunatics generally don't last long before they're gone again) and it's the cheapest rent in the county. All utilities included in the price, and it's not even 1/4 of my monthly income. The rest of that money goes into my bank accounts and life upgrades.

You'll want to use a "grey man technique" when it comes to your gear and such, because displays of wealth attract parasites, as always. But honestly it's a very down-to-earth community where no gold-diggers or Woke Police or feminists are ever going to cause trouble.

(They've taken over all the apartment complexes in the the city I used to live in, it's a hell-hole now).

So yeah, an RV down by the river in a stretch of hills reputed to be cursed by witches, so locals avoid it. It's really fucking awesome.

I've thought about it, but it's too extreme for me. I'm also NBA player sized, so a van is really too small.

I think what I want to end up doing is just short term rentals in different parts of the world. Will be more expensive, but with a digital nomad income stream all you need is a laptop and a tethered phone.

The idea of a traveling/camper youtube channel with a host that gives life advice and talks about MGTOW would probably get a large audience, possible idea to bring in an income and keep you active.

One day I do hope to do boatlife and travel on a boat. But i’m not much of a car/van person. Good luck though!

I did vanlife for about 9 months while i was changing careers. Loved it. Would totally recommend it.

I would say go with a van, but not a sprinter. I liked my promaster, but if i had to buy another one i would get a transit fir the all wheel drive.

I think that vanlife is a very good way to go, especially for young people who have trouble paying the high rents now. If you live in a van, you can save several hundred dollars a month. It adds up over time. Of course, there are negatives too. But, vanlife can make you better financially in a short time, 1~3 years.

Currently shopping for my second sailboat! This time I am going to live on it. It has been a dream of mine forever! Unfortunately, I can’t retire (mid 20s), but at least I can sail about on the weekends. I think you should do it, it would be a great experience.
