Thinking about what person I wanted to be and who I have slowly become reflected in the characters in the office.

Not being serious I thought it was just something fun to think about

Originally, I thought I was Jim, a charming witty guy.

But in all honesty I was more of a Dwight, try-hard and took myself too seriously. I was a Dwight trying to act like a Jim and ended up being Michael, forcing jokes and looking for validation from other people.

I tried on different personalities to see which one was more effective in order to gain that validation.

Kevin: playing the idiot, people treat you like an idiot. There is nothing endearing being a fool.

Ryan: being productive for the sake of being productive. Tool.

Andy: frustration

Toby: Depression, hopeless, defeatist attitude.

Stanley: realizing that I shouldn't give a fuck about things I have no control over, or most people's opinions.

And finally the real guy I want to aspire to be, the best character of the office... Creed.

Creed is the wild card because he lives his wacky life on his terms, for his own reasons. He isn't eccentric for the sake of being eccentric he is an authentic man. His defining characteristic is his curiosity and that is his compass.
