First time poster here. I've read the prerequisites, and I'm halfway through Red Pill 101.

I'm in a long term dead bedroom, and I've finally decided that I'm a Nice Guy, I've lost the attraction of my wife, and working on myself is the only way out.

After a two weeks out of town, my family was home on a Sunday morning again. We spent the entire morning cleaning our house and getting my older daughter ready for a play date. My younger daughter was being demanding and clingy with my wife, and my wife's patience came to its end. Rather than simply ask me nicely to occupy my daughter, she yelled "Can someone take care of BabyRossPeterson!?!"

I've grown tired of her yelling without once asking calmly, before things escalate. (I'm also gotten tired of the childish "not it" games she plays when our daughters need something.) I told her I would take care of BabyRossPeterson if she asked nicely.

She claimed she did ask nicely, and I mimic'ed how she said it to me. A bad move on my part. It set her off. She is not one to show emotions, unless she has been pushed to the limit, and in this case she was screaming and crying about my mimicry.

I told her that all I wanted was some civility in our house, and that she should ask nicely before it gets out of hand. She said that I should just automatically notice that our daughter is getting on her nerves. The made claims that I never pay attention to when she needs me to step in. I questioned her, "I never pay attention? Never?" She knew it was a lie. I am on my way out of being a rock star beta. I take care of shit all the time.

She had nothing to add.

I never got too heated, but especially kept my cool once I remembered to. I played the stoic, and went about the business I was tending to in the house.

She left with my oldest for four hours for the play date. I didn't know what to expect when she returned.

When she came home, she was calm. She didn't look upset at me. She didn't look upset at all. The topic of conversation was some projects we'd been working on, some future trips she'd like to go on, and just average everyday stuff.

I don't know what to think about that? Did I just pass a test? Is this what I've been hearing about? When my gears start turning, I automatically assume she must be planning to leave me. That's the only way she could possibly be so calm right now. But I don't know.

My wife is a huge mystery to me, in so many ways. This feels like a success, but I'm not sure what I passed and where it is all headed.
