Funny jokes and teasing her like a little girl are a big turn on for girls. Cruel jokes are not. In most cases, weight jokes and fat jokes are cruel, not a turn on.

Would you really tease the most responsible teenager in the house like that? If your wife were a 12 year old girl, would a "roast" in this vein be funny or cruel?

Are you leading your family or not? If you are (and if you're here you had best be at least attempting to wrest control back) then make the decisions and deal with the consequences.

If it's the 3 squares she's messing up, then devise a weekly meal plan that's healthy. I sold it to my wife by making meal time easier by knowing what to cook and saving money on groceries every week.

If it's random snacking, then again, make the decisions of what's available in house. Make sure you go grocery shopping, stop the bad food purchases and direct her in a more healthy approach.

If she is making comments, then simply guide her to healthy choices. Mocking and demeaning your wife and first mate is a bad move.

I don't understand why you would want to, that just seems mean.

If she grabs her gut again (assuming you like her) ask what she is trying to do to lose it. Offer suggestions on how she can fix it.

If her gut is an issue for you, let her see thinner girls flirt with you. If she has support from you than I bet that will get her motivated.
