Never forget that men are almost as biased towards women as women are. So for most men, any criticism of women is 'misogyny', whereas they are happy to overlook any criticism of men. That is just how it is. There is a lot of blue pill thinking and pedestalizing there, but that isn't my concern. Their opinions are not under my control, and are irrelevant to me. Nor are they able to say what is Stoic and what is not, or who is allowed to be Stoic and who is not. I also think that TRP itself tends to be too negative towards women sometimes, but I also recognise that this serves a purpose, namely reminding men that they do naturally have views biased towards women, and need to be shown how some women behave to get them to take the blinkers off. There is also a lot of tolerance towards the anger phase, but if it is something that guys need to go through, then fine. Older member generally don't talk that way.

Someone pointed out that Musonius Rufus was one of the first philosophers to say that what he said applied to women too. However, any idea that they are therefore 'equal' in this sphere has been shown to be false by prior and subsequent history. That doesn't mean that I don't think women can't gain anything from an interest in Stoicism, but I think they will gain less from it than men, by natural inclination.

Yes, there is that innate difference which makes it more difficult for most women (but not all, certainly). It isn't just Stoicism, philosophy has always been something that men did. How many female philosophers of note can you name? The standard feminist answer would be that they were 'oppressed', but this is garbage. Women enjoyed the wealth of their husbands, but with more free time if they were in a wealthy family. Philosophy took a brain, and the ability to write (not even the last two if you could afford a scribe/secretary, and several early philosophers didn't write, other people wrote down what they said). Many men became philosophers with lower circumstances than many women enjoyed, yet the women did not become philosophers. But Stoicism, because of the emphasis on not being driven by emotions, was more difficult than most. Musonius was over optimistic.
