An open thread would be a place to ask questions or share victories (or failures) or short field reports. These things may not warrant a full post, and in many cases would be considered a shitpost or low-effort post.

Such a thread could also help keep the low-effort stuff off the main page. Some guys might feel better asking a question on an open thread rather trying to put together a quality post for something that only needs a few sentences.

Just an idea. No butthurt if no one likes the idea.
