This little can came into my life about 6 years ago. It started socially with some guys I work and train with. It wasn’t long until I was stopping at the store to pick some up to use “just occasionally”. We’ll every tobacco user knows that’s a lie.
I’ve quit before when going through fertility treatments with the wife but when IVF failed I picked it right back up.
Today I had my last dip. I picked up some nicotine patches and gum this afternoon.
Any advice from former tobacco users is more than welcome!

Cinnamon gum and ice water were my go to. It just kills the craving for me.

Is this really a "tobacco" product?
I've had some little sacks that you stick in between your gums, with zero "tobacco", just nicotine.
Not anywhere near as harmful, because it's just clean nicotine without all the cancer.
Nicotine by itself isn't any more harmful than caffeine. In fact, our bodies are use to dealing with nicotine from various plants. Not so with caffeine that only comes from a very select set of beans.
All well and good if you want to quit any nicotine or caffeine use, and fully support that.
I just don't see it as much of a problem.

It is tobacco. The Swedish version of Snus is safer but the American versions are just like regular dipping tobacco. It’s not a nicotine pouch like some that are available.

Good choice. I hope you succeed!

Congratulations my dude, I used to be a hookah smoker but put a full stop months ago. Ngl, it's been hard, and the cravings are still there, but I made it past the 1 month mark and am now sitting at just about 7 months without a smoke.
You can do this, we believe in you.

Much respect. I quit smoking about 10 years ago. One of the best choices that I've made.
Keep us posted.

Is this for killing cigarette addiction?
[–]purussa 4 points5 points6 points 1 year ago (3 children) | Copy Link
It's snus. Ground tobacco mixed with additives. It's inserted under the upper lip and gives a mild tingling sensation, or a strong one depending on the strength of your poison. It releases nicotine into the bloodstream trough the mucous membranes of the mouth.
Users develop a slightly different type of addiction to this produce compared to cigarettes. Users that consume high nicotine content pouches often are accustomed to very high nicotine levels in their body at all times. I know people that use it even while they sleep.

Oh that's why it has a danger sign on the pack. The application is also scary tbh. But if OP uses it to reduce the addiction day by day then it's all good ig.

That's the product OP's trying to get off of.

25 hours tobacco free.
15 days today.
Still missing tobacco. I think I’ve chewed enough gum to blow a bubble to the moon but I haven’t caved.

Coming up on 72 hours…
The patches have definitely helped.
Anyone else have crazy dreams while using the nicotine patches?
[–]graamaake 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I've been having crazy dreams while quitting snus, so it might have more to do with the snus than the patches. Vivid colors on the good/neutral dreams and absolutely batshit nightmares sometimes. It's good to see you're still free, it's motivating me too
