I wouldn't say a shitstorm is coming. Sam Maggs—the one interviewed for this story—makes outrageous claims like this frequently, especially regarding gaming. As a matter of fact, she won an award last year for best Geek Feminist.

how does a modder mod an online game? Does she need access to the server?

oh and i also love how they kept showing a clip of someone being shot in the crotch.. like its somehow worse than being shot in the head or anywhere else.
