I went back to college in my old age to finish an unfinished degree. One of the many hassles I ran into was the military draft, which was 30 years previous. Because the selective service could not find my paperwork, I was denied financial aid. At the same time, women did not and still do not even have to prove that they registered or didn’t register or anything else. It’s a double standard that only applies to men.

In the end, I got it straightened out. But it delayed my re-entrance into college for a year. For absolutely no reason other than sexism.
