while men do hold a lot of privilege and power in relation to women, and it important to share that privilege and power, many men feel that the disadvantages of maleness are being overlooked and that the standards of masculinity that men in many situations are held to are unfair.

wanting these 'men's issues' given attention is not the same as not wanting women to get a fair shake.

If you asked Nazis for a definition of Nazism you would probably get a definition definition that was benign, however any objective observer of the movement knows that the defining feature of Nazism is hatred and racism taken to the extremes. The definition of feminism is the same, not because feminism is comparable to Nazism, but because the definition is written in a society where feminism generally isn't challenged, and so it does not accurately represent the movement.

We are for equality between the sexes much more than feminists are, and are probably doing more to solve the negative ways that gender stereotypes hurt women as well.

I think I speak for everyone here that no one has a problem with your definition taken at face value. The problem is, women seem to ignore the inequalities, whether social, cultural, or legal, that benefit them over men. From something as benign as expecting the man to buy her the engagement ring to the men generally seen as the lesser parent in custody cases. It's not about being equal, it's about one upmanship. Special rights, for lack of a better term.

There are a lot of double-standards in our society that favors women (generally). If feminists truly cared about equality, they wouldn't be pushing negative stereotypes about men, fighting for special legislation or consideration just for women, and all sorts of other things they claim to be against if a man is doing it.
