We obviously aren't getting the full story . For one thing , judges sure aren't very keen on just letting bygones be bygones when it comes to back payments on child support .

Secondly , you may notice that she's down to $100 a month . Well somebody's not making much money and it isn't just her . Either she's making a lot more money than she claims , should have a lot more money than she does , or he's one paycheck away from the gutter himself . Whatever the details , bear in mind that it's not exactly like the child support system is known for being fair to fathers .

Thirdly , it's entirely possible that she's living beyond her means already . Maybe she'll have to move . That happens even when couples stay together . I hardly expect the kids are going to starve but they'll have to deal with it while mummy gets her financial shit together .

Can she actually not provide for her kids? If so, shouldn't the guy be paying child support? (unless he tried to obtain custody and was denied it despite being a capable father, then I'd understand) Or is she just blowing money on herself instead of using it for her kids?
