After some months of this girl looking into my cubicle, smiling, winking at me, I thought to ask her what's going on. Notice that my idea was to ask, not to propose a date, etc. (all options maybe a bad idea in a work environment). I did this because of the way she looked at me and I know maybe that she only wanted attention, or maybe was something else, I don't know. I already regret going with her into an elevator and told her "Don't take this in the wrong way, when you look at me, smile at me, and you wink at me, etc. what does that means to you?" She didn't took it so well, obviously she was upset, surprised and alarmed, and said it doesn't mean anything. She told me if I was uncomfortable by it, I told her no. I was at all times like 2 to 3 meters from her I never made any physical contact, although I can understand that the eye contact could have been awkward, I also didn't said anything inappropriate, etc. just the question.

So after exiting the elevator her manners changed a little bit, she looked more relaxed but acting in a way like she thought I was into her? Maybe. At some point she touched my arm IIRC, then after like a few seconds she said: "I love you" and left, I didn't said anything else and leaved coming back to my cubicle already regretting that I've done this, after seeing her initial reaction I didn't wanted to interact with her anymore.

Since now she looks like a hurt person, bad face, etc. don't look at me (which is fine I don't want any issues) I'm starting to get worried of being accused of sexual harassment or something like that, the signals I'm getting is like I did something really wrong.

At work I'm very serious, always professional, never talk about anyone and in this case I've never tried to contact her on her cubicle, going there for no reason, except for work and I can count in a few months like 3 times so it's not like I'm harassing anyone, on the contrary I'm focusing on my work all the time.

Here are the questions I have.

If she does file a complain against me, what could HR think of what I did? (Waiting for her before she leaves, then asking that question)

Why is she so seemingly hurt with me? I'm truly worried this could affect my job I need this job I can't lose it.

I hope they record not just video abut also audio so if something happens HR can pull the footage and check what I said.

Does it mean something that she touched my arm? (in the sense if she complains)

I'm a mess I shouldn't have done that. I just don't want any issues at work.
