On of my friends has accused another friend of attempted rape.

These are the events as I understand them from most reliable accounts. Group of friends go out drinking 2 get split off and guy comes onto the girl at another friends house. Guy pins girl with intention of having sex with her. Girl never interested. Says she will call out for help and slaps him. Girl a bit tipsy but the guy is smashed. Girl gets away and friends get back to some seriously high tension. Nothing is said for months until girl finds out guy has been saying that night she was fully cracking into him. She flips her shit and gives her account only to her close friend. Close friend gives that account to me.

Character background is that guy ALWAYS lies about everything and is the stupidest guy on the planet when drunk. Girl is level headed, and really dislikes the guy from well before this incident. Girl doesn't want anyone to know what 'really happened' and doesn't know I know.

What should I do? How should I feel towards the guy? I feel like this would all be much easier if he was charged/arrested and it was sorted out in court. But that's definitely not going to happen. My personal feeling is that the girls account is the truthful one.
