I'm curious what other men's thoughts, are on "all men." A bit about me, I had a narcissistic mother who was always hating on me, and used it regularly. As did my 3 sisters, and my dad is evil and out of the picture. I asked my mom if "all men," meant all men. And she would say it did, but I was boy and as long as I stayed a boy I wasn't like men.

I've explained this who story and my reasoning for hating "all men" to my wife for years. She stopped using it herself, but it just recently came back up. Some movie on Netflix is supposed to be helping people do better by boys, so they can be better men.

I tell her, the "all men" narrative needs to stop. And the rest of the night turned into a fight of her invalidating me. She even said women need a chance to get the sexism out of their system, like it's fair.

I'm so bothered by this, and she acts like I'm the only man effected by this phrase. I don't understand how it's not viewed as sexist. I just got back to hating myself for being a man, and I'm trying to dig myself back out of it. Lifetime of hating myself, and I feel like I'll never feel ok in my own skin.
