Hi there, I wanted to know of there were any people here who may be even to tell if I was being irrational. I tried to ask this to feminist subs but the question never got accepted.

Here goes.

Im a 25 year old Indian male living in Canada for the past 24 years. Quick background on me:

  1. My 2x Great Grandparents on both sides were Freedom Fighters.

  2. My Great Grandpa on Dads side fought for equality.

  3. My Grandma on my mom's side fought tooth and nail with her husband to make sure my mom and aunt could have more than a simplistic life and so that they could work before marriage.

  4. My parents want both my sister and I to just find a job in whatever field(yes trades is also fine since corporate is not the only form of empowerment).

  5. I graduated from university back in 2023 and did a contract role in 2024-2025 before being offered fulltime for 2026.

  6. During all of this I did try to talk/approach girls to see if I may be able to find someone but was always turned away for being too unexperienced. 6a. When I asked what that meant, they would usually say I was an incel since I was never in a relationship until that point(I was 22 when I started looking). 6b. I mentioned that I never was into any relationship before because it was not a priority at that time. Then they said I speak like a misogynist who slut shames women for suggesting that instead of studying, they spend there years doing other thing(which I never said).

  7. For the few girls that looked past this(which shouldn't even be a thought, cause the idea was dumb), they asked me what I think about women working or being the breadwinners. I said I'm cool with it cause honestly I like kids, and plan to have my own with or without a partner, lol. Anyways, I would have a job of my own.

  8. This is where it began. They asked what else I do apart from work. I said I cook, clean, do various house chores, yard work, have my own hobbies. After that they, tried really hard to ask me how much I expect to make or what I will be doing for work. At that time, I worked at the university as a Content Editor and Software testing to arrange activities for students with disabilities and exam accommodation help.

  9. They were furious. They thought I had no prospects cause I was doing a part time job and went on tangents that they were strong independent women who didn't need to put up with shit from men who earn low wages.

  10. I would tell them that I didn't care how much they make and that at this point I just wanted to get to know them. Again, they suggested I was a misogynist for suggesting that women are materialistic(when the heck did I say that?). It felt like projection to me. But I always kept an open mind because maybe the person may just misunderstand me.

  11. I would finish up my dates by offering to pay/split the bill(per specific items). Some girls really prided themselves on the equal bill, but didn't even like it when I asked them how they would like to pay. Like I was supposed to know how each individual wanted to go about it. This was also something they called me a misogynist for. Thinking all women need too much care.

After these experiences, I feel like just taking a break and just focusing more on career. No I don't think all women are bad. But maybe most women think I'm bad Idk. I wanted to make this post to understand how most people here would consider my actions and if I offended anyone. If I did, I'm truly sorry.

But yeah, do feel free to ask me anything as well. Apologies if this post also comes of as misogynist or incelish. I just let a lot of my thoughts out at once.
