They have, but it's been the suicide of the person making the false allegation, and not the person subject to the false allegation.

Showing a news agency simply isn't covering stories looks like an effective way to hit them where it hurts -- showing bias and sexism and being scooped.

The stories this story shows the BBC didn't report are tragic. We wish they'd never happen, but when they do, not reporting them seems unfair.

That's nothing. In Australia the entire media industry conspired to censor the acquittal of Cassandra Leigh Johnson, the "wicked school mistress" who raped little boys at a western Sydney school. No suppression order, yet no media reported her "rescue" by the white knights of the Court of Appeal. Maybe because they were complicit in this tinkering with justice.

I noticed all of the published accounts were in tabloids. (Not sure about the Mirror though. Is that a tabloid?) So at first I thought, well maybe the BBC is just above reporting single crimes and drama.

Apparently not.

Bit tricky saying that something or other "caused" a suicide - we'll never know the exact causes of suicide.

But we can say what these young men went through before they took their own lives.
