As a child (12 or so) I was rented out very often by my parents. This means that they basically told me to do things for neighbors or family friends or family for no pay. Moving furniture, moving boxes of clothes, helping with carrying groceries for 20 something year old able bodied people.

It frankly sucked. And it was to "build character." To me it meant to burn my weekend for no benifits to me.

I know this is really common but it gets on my nerves to this day that it is basically expected for boys (and men as shown today when my dad was made to take time off his weekend to help a single mother of 3 to move some furniture shit.)

Idk not a big issue but grinds my gears. Don't expect men to help just cause
