As much as I am for boys not being punished for being themselves, this is a wildly sexist and untrue observation that devalues the rest of what the author says. Clearly they have never been to an inner-city public school.

It is sort of funny hearing about "restless" and "squirm more" after reading other articles on the dangers of sedentary behavior.

For 20 years we tell boys to sit still and not get up. Then for 20 years we tell boys to get up and not sit still.

This is so true, there are so many more girls in college than boys and boys have to work way harder to earn some reputation in class. I don't know is it just me but I think they are more prone to studying, they can go on for hours while most men can't keep that kind of concentration.

While I agree that the trend towards feminnizing boys is both dangerous and pointless the above statement is complete nonsense, as is the below line that directly proceeds the above:
