I've been looking at r/MensRights for some time and I have a suggestion I would like you to consider seriously.

Please volunteer at your local rape crisis center.

False rape accusations are definately a problem and undermine the pain and search for understanding that both male and female rape surivivors experience, but I think we can all agree that rape is real and it is a real problem.

I volunteer at a rape crisis center myself and know, from personal experience, that male volunteers are always wanted. They are wanted for reasons that I think most of you can agree with, but primarily:

  1. Rape crisis centers are often seen as havens for female survivors only. This is a travesty as it leaves many male survivors without a place to turn. Having male volunteers available to support male survivors when they need help and also to advocate that these centers are safe places for men helps alleviate this problem.

  2. Having male volunteers working to end rape for all people and support survivors helps to counter the male-hatred that I encounter in many female survivors. It is unfortunate that a side effect of experiencing a violent crime is often the sweeping distrust of people similar to the attacker, but often all it takes to keep this distrust from taking hold is one person similar in appearance to the attacker who is dissimilar in action.

Perhaps you think that most rape crisis centers are too far gone to provide male survivors with the help they truly need. If you truly feel that is the case and that working from within the organization would change too little too late, then work to provide a new safe haven for male survivors in your own communities.

Turn passion into positive change.

EDIT: I did not post this to be abrasive or as part of some conspiracy to derail anyone from their goals or cause. I agree with many of the thoughts expressed in this subreddit. I honestly believed that working from within an organization to educate the public about male rape and dispelling associated rumors while simultaneously seeing to it that said organization is a haven for both male and female survivors fit within the goals that many of you have. Cleary, that was presumptuous of me. If you think volunteering at a rape crisis center is an awful idea, then don't do it. If it fits with your goals, then great. I apologize for generating any negative feelings. I assure you, that was not my intention.
