I've been thinking a lot about the outrage regarding cheating. Historically, it wasn't a big deal for humans. But I'm wondering if, these days, it allows women to exercise a great deal of power over husbands especially.

Think of this; we (men) get married because we believe there will be a constant supply of sex from the wife. Love, honour, etc. In return, we offer protection, fatherhood, financial security plus much more.

But so often I see women who with-hold sex as a weapon against their husbands. (Power) They know instinctively that if the man seeks gratification elsewhere, he will lose his marriage, house, children, sometimes, his life.

Why is this? Popular culture has amplified this situation. Movies, TV, social media, even reddit, is rife with outrage and stories of "cheating". Why don't we get so upset about the "dead bedroom" syndrome that ignites the cheating?
